If there’s no access above the ceiling where you want stars, then a prefabricated star panel is the best option, whether this be a DIY project or – as here – one of Starscape’s readymade panel products. These come in a range of sizes and shapes, but the one seen here – courtesy of customer Nicola E – is the Eclipse disk. This 1200mm diameter disk has 200 fibre optic stars and optionally – as in this instance – LED tape rim lighting to create a colour wash across the surrounding ceiling. Most popular colour for the Eclipse is white, as seen here, but black and blue fnishes are also available as standard, and it’s also possible to have custom colours at extra cost.
